We are The Packaging Society, East Midlands, part of IOM3, the Institute of Materials, MInerals and Mining.

We represent people working in the Packaging Industry throughout the region, which includes Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, providing important networking opportunities, organising events and visits to packaging businesses between September and May, and organising popular social events including our golf day and dinner dance.

Great Night for the East Midlands at the UK Packaging Awards!

Last night was the prize-giving ceremony for the UK Packaging Awards, held in London at the swanky Grosvenor House Hotel. You can see the full list of awards winners here, but companies in the East Midlands 'patch' did extremely well!

East Midlands Packaging Society Golf Day 4th October 2010

After the filthy weather of the previous weekend, thirty brave souls ventured over to Newark Golf Club on Monday 4th October for the East Midlands Packaging Society Golf competition; to be greeted with warm late summer sun, a golf course in beautiful condition and an excellent afternoon’s game.

Plastek Visit 21st September 2010

We were privileged to visit the high speed, high volume Plastek facility in September, and our thanks go to Nigel Williams and his team for the warm welcome we received.



Plastek UK is a high-volume manufacturer of plastic components for packaging, for example the top aerosol assembly for Lynx deodorant, many millions of which are made each year.
