Plastek Visit 21st September 2010

We were privileged to visit the high speed, high volume Plastek facility in September, and our thanks go to Nigel Williams and his team for the warm welcome we received.

Plastek UK is a high-volume manufacturer of plastic components for packaging, for example the top aerosol assembly for Lynx deodorant, many millions of which are made each year.

We were welcomed into the impressive boardroom and treated to an introduction to the US owned group, following which we were split into groups and taken for a tour of the large manufacturing facilities where we saw a range of injection moulded components being produced. After the tour, we went back into the boardroom for a final Q&A session and away.

Very interesting to have the oppportunity to see a high-end, high volume manufacturer at work. For more information have a look at their website.
