We are now pleased to be able to announce the speakers for the forthcoming Pack To The Future event on 22nd February.
We've got a great line-up based around the theme of NANOTECHNOLOGY....the controlling of matter on an atomic & molecular scale!
The format wiill be broadly simlar to the previous event, but we have taken on-board your comments and will:
- Have fewer speakers
- An open 'Leopard's Lair' question & answer session
- More time for networking
We will start with an insight from Greg Alder of ASDA on how a large multiple supermarket works and develops packaging and what opportunities may exist for nanotechnology to be incorporated in the future?
We will then take a step back to basics, where Alan Smith of AZ Technology who will use his exciting and informative style to bring the topic to life in a delightful & engaging manner.
Dr Kate Stone, a research engineer from Cambridge University's Institute of Manufacturing, with a PhD in physics and micro-electronics will provide a fascinating insight into printed electronics in the nano world. Find out more here:Dr Kate Stone
Finally Duncan Robinson of Pillbox Design (& Vice Chairman of The East Midlands Packaging Society) will present a real-life Case Study on nanotechnology entrepreneurial innovation in practice with a demonstration of a new electronic pen that can read nano-print technology and unveil all sorts of encrypted and hidden information on printed packaging materials.
