The use of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) is becoming more and more important. Sustainability is now a key business concern and at the core of reducing the impacts of your operations is the ability to measure the impacts of what you currently do. You need to do this across all your activities and up and down your supply chains to get a full picture.
This presentation will explain the practicalities of undertaking such studies and cover issues such as:
• Defining the scope and deciding to include in the analysis
• Sourcing impact data for materials, energy and transportation activities
• How to deal with gaps and making assumptions
• Presenting the results to stakeholders.
It will also identify relevant standard and guidelines that can help you in conducting such assessments as well as how such studies fit into Government Policies and Strategies such as the UK’s Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy (2021).
