Night vision and new material technologies

I've been working on a project to do with visibility for cyclists on the roads. It is interesting to see the advancing technologies in stretchable electronics. Perhaps with these developments, wearable electronics can spread further into the sports industry - but is this what cyclists want?

When speaking to some regular cyclists, they said that they would prefer a hi-vis product that could be fitted to the bike rather than having to wear it/remember to take it with them and carry it about.

Would anyone agree or care to comment? It would be interesting to hear of other applications for light-emitting polymers.
